2027: Usman Bugaje Calls For Coalition To Unseat Tinubu, APC

Dr. Usman Bugaje, a respected member of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has strongly criticized the current administration under the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing its leadership as a complete failure. In an interview late yesterday, Bugaje emphasized the urgent need for a united front to remove President Bola Tinubu from power, citing the deteriorating economic and social conditions in Nigeria.

Bugaje blamed the APC government for the country’s worsening state, accusing it of failing to address critical issues such as insecurity, rising poverty, and widespread corruption. He argued that Nigeria has continued to decline under the current leadership and that urgent measures are needed to reverse the trend.

According to Bugaje, the APC-led administration has neglected its responsibilities and has been ineffective in tackling the country’s pressing challenges. He asserted that Nigeria’s governance system is deeply flawed, as it consistently produces leaders who fail to deliver on their promises.

“The way we select our leaders is fundamentally flawed, which is why we keep getting ineffective leadership,” he stated.

He warned that if Nigerians do not take action, the country’s problems will only worsen. Bugaje stressed that the current government has demonstrated incompetence, and the only way forward is for citizens to organize and demand better leadership.

Drawing parallels with the political movement that led to the removal of former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, Bugaje advocated for the formation of a strong coalition to challenge Tinubu’s government. He urged opposition parties, civil society groups, and concerned citizens to unite and push for change.

“We must come together to push President Tinubu out, just as we did with former President Goodluck Jonathan,” Bugaje declared.

He emphasized that unity among various political and social groups was essential in ensuring that a competent leader is elected in the next general election. Bugaje pointed out that the success of the 2015 coalition against Jonathan proved that when Nigerians work together, they can bring about meaningful political change.

Bugaje’s comments reflect growing dissatisfaction with the current administration’s handling of the country’s economic and security challenges. Many Nigerians have expressed frustration over the high cost of living, inflation, unemployment, and the persistent insecurity plaguing different parts of the country.

His call for a coalition suggests a renewed push among opposition figures and activists to mobilize ahead of the next election cycle. While it remains to be seen how much traction this movement will gain, Bugaje’s remarks highlight the growing discontent within Nigeria’s political landscape.

As discussions about the country’s future leadership intensify, Bugaje’s message serves as a reminder that political change is possible when citizens come together with a common goal. Whether or not his vision of unseating Tinubu materializes, his call for unity signals a potential shift in Nigeria’s political dynamics.
